Strengthening Ties with Korea: Woo Won-shik Visits Light Conversion HQ
Light Conversion’s installed base in Korea now exceeds 450 ultrafast laser systems, operating across top-tier universities, research centers, and industrial environments. These lasers enable high-precision fabrication in key Korean industries such as semiconductors, consumer electronics, and displays. To support this growing network of clients, Light Conversion opened its international office in Daejeon in 2018.
We had the honor of presenting these achievements to Woo Won-shik, Speaker of the National Assembly of South Korea, and his delegation during their recent visit to our headquarters. The delegation also had the opportunity to view one of the early PHAROS models – the laser that marked the beginning of Light Conversion’s journey as a femtosecond laser manufacturer. Coincidentally, the very first PHAROS was shipped to a university in Daejeon, Korea, nearly two decades ago.
Our gratitude extends to the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania for arranging the visit.
